On this day in Dodgers history

August 31, 1950— Gil Hodges of Brooklyn Dodgers hits four homers and a single in a game against the Boston Braves at Ebbets Field. The Dodgers and the HOF Veteran committee  need to get their shit together and do right by this great player. He's been ignored for far too long.

I think we found a catcher.

Manny being Manny to the end

Manny Ramirez looking for extension if traded

Please Manny and do whats right for the team. They never gave up on you, but after watching your AB tonight. It sure as hell looked like you gave up on them. You are only making it harder on the team and for yourself if you let your agent pull this shit. Are you afraid that no one will sign you in the off season like Barry Bonds?  If so, you have no one to blame but yourself the same as him.

Happy Birthday to the Beard.

Now warming up

Dodgers make quick work of the Reds

Theriot,, Dre, Kemp and Gibbons all go deep.

Please Vin. One more year.

Us Dodgers fans are spoiled by your golden voice. Please let us have you one more year. I know we're being greedy in asking, but we need your strength to pull us through these trying times. Let us say our goodbyes all next season, even if you only do a part time schedule of only home games or just a few games a week. It will be more than enough of a fix for all of us dependent on your calming voice.
