Welcome back

“The fans mean everything, ... The feeling I get when I pitch is amazing. It's the best feeling. Words can't describe it. The fans mean so much.”  Eric Gagne

I'm not feeling it Eric. You broke my kids heart when you left. You broke it again when the Mitchell report came out. I have watched you pitch for the Rangers, Red Sox, and Brewers over the years. I don't think all of your struggles, were yours to blame. It seemed you were never on the same page or clicked with the catchers like you did in LA. If you really want to win your fans back. Work hard and prove yourself in spring training. I know a little girl that is pulling for you, even though she's not so little anymore.  Best of luck and  Dieu vous bénisse.

I'm cautiously optimistic about his return. He did pitch well as recently as 2007 in Texas, but (as we're all well aware) has struggled ever since. Did Francona mess up his psyche by putting him in the setup role in Boston, or is the magic simply gone? Will a return to familiar surroundings -- at pitcher friendly Chavez Ravine -- help him return to form? Whatever the case, we should know very quickly if he has anything left.
